Simplicity Jiffy Shift Dress #8253

  1. The boat neck looks lovely on you. I, too, love plaids but I don't think I would be bold enough to have done a dress--shirts, yes. Having said that, from what I could see--it looks like it looks good on you.

A thought about making a plaid dress with all the panels--you will need more fabric so you will be able to match the plaids. Flannel is infamous for shredding with any stress on the seams. Lining may help that but it is something to keep in mind. I think that since it didn't look like the skirt part of the dress was tight--that may not be a problem. If is is very fitted--chances are you could have problems. Congratulations on your sewing and dyeing.

I love the orange that is now tonal. I also like the very blue one. Keep playing and remember--you can't tell what you have until you knit it up.

    1. Thank you, Arlene! I appreciate the advice ~ I need all the help I can get. ((Hugs))
